Do I Require The Source Code To Analyze A Customization?

SPCAF can analyze your customization without the source code. The standalone application accepts full trust/sandboxed solutions (.wsp), SharePoint Add-ins, Office Add-ins, SSOM/CSOM Assemblies (.dll), Executables (.exe), PowerShell scripts (.ps1), JavaScript (.js) files and SharePoint Framework packages (.spapp).

how long is my license valid

Perpetual licenses do not expire. It comes with "Software Assurance" for the first 12 months , which grants access to support and software updates. If "Software Assurance" is not renewed, the license will continue to work although, software updates and support will no longer be available.
